Walter Hoyle was born in Lancashire and studied at Beckenham College of Art and the Royal College of Art. He was part of the Great Bradfield circle of artists and a good friend and associate of the artist, Edward Bawden. 

The booklet is complete. Some soiling to covers, short split at base of spine and cover corners are curling. Design is bright. Small finger creases in margins and noted that one page of music has been annotated in pencil. Pages are secure and noted that there is a touch of rust on staples
