A Celtic Miscellany

Complied and introduced by George Maine

Published by T N Foulis Ltd. Published in 1922. 40 pages. 26cm x 22cm. Paper covered boards with cloth spine

This anthology of Celtic verse was produced as a fundraiser for the Outlook Tower in Edinburgh, a cause championed by Professor Patrick Geddes. Patrick Geddes was a man of many talents,of which one was the promotion of Celtic art and poetry and to this end he published 'The Evergreen' Magazine which was a celebration of Celtic arts

The book is complete and in good condition. Lovely distinctive decorated boards which are not signed (but at a guess are by John Duncan). Boards are in good condition as is cloth spine.Board corners and spine ends are bumped. Neatly written name on ffep and on title page. Hinges are in good condition and binding is sound. Rough cut pages are clean and secure. A scarce collection of poetry
